Roosevelt “Lee” Coutee, age 62, of Cloutierville, LA, passed away Monday, September 3, 2007, at St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2007. A rosary Service will be held at 8:00 PM during the visitation. The funeral service will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2007, with Rev. Harold Imamshah officiating. Interment will be at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery in Cloutierville, LA. “Lee” was an avid bass fisherman. He loved to fish tournaments, especially on Red River. He was very family oriented and loved to spend his time playing with his grandchildren. Mr. Coutee loved to play cards, mainly poker, and would play as much as he could. He was a carpenter by trade but spent many years working at Willamette Industries in Natchitoches, which is now Trus Joist. He also liked to deer hunt. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville. He was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Coutee and one son, Roosevelt Lee Coutee, Jr. He is also survived by his wife Annie Lee Coutee; one daughter, Molly Ann Coutee and husband Darnell of Natchitoches, LA; three sons, Scottie Lee Coutee and wife Linda of Marco, LA, Darren Lee Coutee of Natchitoches, LA, and Jerry Lee Coutee and Janet of Marthaville, LA; his mother, Alberta Beaudion Coutee of Cloutierville, LA; one sister, Pumelia Ann Fugler of Kingfisher, OK; three brothers, Edmond Coutee, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK, Johnny Coutee of Cloutierville, LA, Michael Wayne Coutee of Houston, TX; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
