Annie Bell Woodel

Annie Bell Booty Woodel, age 82, of Provencal, LA, passed Friday, September 7, 2007, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center in Natchitoches, LA. Services will be at Coldwater Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2007, with Rev. Buddy Boswell and Rev. Gerald Long officiating. Interment will be at Fort Jessup Cemetery in Fort Jessup, LA. The visitation will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Coldwater Baptist Church. Mrs. Annie was a very compassionate lady. She loved her family and her friends more than anything else. She loved to read, garden, and cook. She was a seamstress, and made a lot of her children’s clothes as they were coming up. She liked to quilt as well. She was a member of the Kisatchie Baptist Church in Kisatchie, LA. She was a wonderful mother-in-law, grandmother, friend, and neighbor. She will be greatly missed by all of the lives that she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar L. Woodel; her parents, Lee and Ina Booty, her sisters, Eula Ward and Mella Cook, a daughter, Glenda Sue Woodel Stoker; and one grandson, Timmothy Woodel. She is survived by seven children, Donna Jordan and husband Raymond of Natchitoches, LA, Garland Woodel and wife Sherry of Provencal, LA, Vicki Woodel of Provencal, LA, Gayla Maroney and husband Basil of Pleasant Hill, LA, Rhonda Hamous of Provencal, LA, Stanley Woodel and wife Karen of Provencal, LA, and Chris Woodel and wife Marie of Flora, LA; 13 grandchildren, Jeff Woodel and wife Kris of Houston, TX, Mark Jordan of Natchitoches, LA, Brad Woodel of Provencal, LA, Brent Jordan and wife Krissy of Provencal, LA, Callie Stoker of Provencal, LA, Rodney Stewart of Natchitoches, LA, Amber Hamous of Provencal, LA, Jessica Withers of Provencal, LA, Whitt Stoker of Provencal, LA, Katie Woodel of Provencal, LA, Seth Woodel of Flora, LA, Daniel Woodel of Provencal, LA, Christiana Woodel of Flora, LA, Susan Maroney Davis and husband Sean of Shreveport, LA, and Basil Frank Maroney, Jr. and wife Dawn of Bossier City, LA; eleven great-grandchildren, Kyle Woodel, Alanna Woodel, Cody Jordan, Anna Claire Friday, Kale Jordan, Zack Woodel, Tray Maroney, Joanna Maroney, Savanah Maroney, Isabelle Davis, and Joshua Davis; eight siblings, L.B. Booty, Dora Jane Sales, Ina Lee Trammel, Johnnie Elaine Bowie, Bobbie Jean Honeycutt, Dorothy Mae Wisterman, Gloria Adon Murry, and Sherry Nell Bynog; one son-in-law, Billy Jack Stoker of Robeline, LA.; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Pallbearers will be Jeff Woodel, Mark Jordan, Brad Woodel, Brent Jordan, Rodney Stewart, Whitt Stoker, and Nick Hammonds. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Long, David Hamous, Billy Stoker, Raymond Jordan, Basil Maroney, Bradley Freeman, and Pat Miller.
