Jacqueline Presse

A private memorial Mass for Mrs. Jacqueline Presse will be at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA at a later date. She will be laid to rest, in her family mausoleum, at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans. Mrs. Presse passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 in Natchitoches, LA. She was born November 29, 1928 to the late James Thom and the late Ruth (Doyle) Thom in New Orleans, LA. Her formative years were spent in New Orleans and the city always held a special place in her heart. She truly loved ballet which she performed an taught for many years. She married Norman Presse, Sr. and eventually they made Natchitoches their home upon his retirement from the railroad. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Eileen Kendrick and her husband Ron of Natchitoches; sons, Norman Presse, Jr. of Rocky Face, GA and James Presse and his wife Heide of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Scott Kendrick, Chris Kendrick and his wife Shelly, Jenny Massia and her husband Mark, and Alexander Presse; great grandchildren, Joe Rogers, Cole Kendrick, Kailyn Kendrick, Bradley Kendrick, and Maggie Massia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Presse, Sr. and her parents, James and Ruth Thom. The family wishes to extend their heart-felt gratitude to Susan Massia, a special friend, and the staff of Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation for the compassion and care they showed Mrs.Presse during the last years of her life.
