William Niette

A mass of Christian burial for William Niette will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, the 23rd of April 2012 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Spanish Lake with Father Antony Aelavanthara serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Spanish Lake Cemetery. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday, the 22nd of April 2012 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the holy rosary will begin at 7 p.m. Mr. Niette, age 77, passed away on Thursday, the 19th of April 2012. He was born on the 17th of June 1934 to the late Jack and Catherine Niette. He worked the majority of his life in farming and construction. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Amanda Catherine Niette; his parents, Jack and Catherine Niette; and son William Albert Niette. He is survived by his wife, Jewell Niette; sons, Michael Niette and wife Brandy of Robeline and Gary Johnigan and wife Cindy of Keithville; his daughters, Carol Sue Butterworth of Denim Springs, Willie Mae Bass and husband Roy of Denim Springs, Brenda Carrizal and husband Greg of Robeline and Margaret Lanhon and husband Shane of Natchitoches; his grandchildren, Rebecca Irvin, Jay Procell, Kay Granger, Steven Johnigan, Stephanie McKay, Jessica Johnigan, Will Niette, Amanda Mason, Tanya Presson, Tammy Dedon, Gregory Carrizal, Chris Turner, Eric Turner, Kimberly Jones, Ashley Moker, Nick Niette, Kinny Niette and Dalton Niette; sixteen great grandchildren; one great grandchild; his sisters, Ima Plesant, Gereldine French, Mary Oxley and husband Kenneth, and Elvina Suchs and husband Sam; his brothers, L.C. Niette and Earl Niette and wife Sweet. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Glenn Niette, Jay Procell, Gregory Carrizal, Charlie Solice, Steve Johnigan and James Procell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dakota Irvin, Nick Niette, Kinny Niette and Dalton Niette. “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me: they rod and staff comfort me.” Psalm 23:1-4
