Robert L. Haire

A service to honor the life of Robert L. Haire will be 2 pm Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Old Bethel Baptist Church, Natchitoches, LA with Pastor Danny Asbell officiating. Interment will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery near Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Old Bethel Baptist Church, 504 Old Bethel Church Road, Natchitoches, LA. Robert Haire, 61 years of age, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2012. He was born August 28, 1950 to Ralph Haire, Sr. and Velda (Quinn) Haire in Natchitoches, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Carson Haire. He was a graduate of Northwestern, earning a degree in Military Science. He proudly served and ultimately retired from the United States Army after over 20 years of service. Robert was an avid reader and an enthusiast of researching local history for numerous agencies in the surrounding area. His craftsmanship with wood-working was a great source enjoyment and expressed his artistic side. He was very active and contributed time and energy to supporting local charities. Because of his love in giving to others, in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a children’s charity of their choice. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Beverly Broadway and her husband Dennis of Robeline; son, Michael Haire of Natchitoches; sister, M. Faye McKinney of Natchitoches; brothers, J.W. Haire and his wife Gerda of Clayton, NC, Ralph Haire, Jr. and his wife Linda of Shreveport, Edgar Haire and his wife Pat of Shreveport. He was blessed with three grandchildren, Anniston, Lucas and Jake Broadway as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
