A Mass of Christian Burial for Anthony (Randolph) Metoyer, Sr. will be Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, Louisiana with Father Kenneth Obiekwe officiating. Interment will follow at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard St Denis Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Metoyer had been blessed with 82 years of age before passing away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born June 23, 1929 to Sidney and Elouise Metoyer in Natchitoches, Lousiana. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosine (Rachal) Metoyer; his parents Sidney and Elouise Metoyer; and his brother Ray Metoyer.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Anthony Randolph (Randy) Metoyer, Jr., his wife Doreen; grandchildren, Christopher Metoyer, Patrick Metoyer and his wife Rebecca and Rosine Therese Metoyer, great grandchildren, Ethan and Eli Metoyer; a brother Francis Metoyer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Metoyer grew up in Natchitoches, Louisiana until he married and went to Chicago in 1953. He retired from Chicago Wilcox Gasket Manufacturing Company in South Holland ,Illinois after 25 years and then returned here to Natchitoches in 1994. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Chicago and continued that membership upon returning to Natchitoches up to 2007. He had been residing with his son in San Antonio from 2009- to his death. He was a very sweet and loving person in his golden years and will be missed by many; especially his family.
