Funeral service for Roy Joseph Fredericks, Jr. will be held 2 PM Thursday, September 27, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. George Holland officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery near Goldonna, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 26, 2007 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mr. Fredericks, 64, of Clear Lake, La., died Monday, September 24, 2007, in his residence at Clear Lake, LA. He was a native of Clear Lake, LA. He was a commercial fisherman. He was a member of Christian Harmony Baptist and the Goldonna Volunteer Fire Department for 27 year. He will be honored with a firemans funeral by his friends on the fire department. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Laura Fredericks; parents, Roy and Ada Fredericks; two sisters Betty Rachal and Eleanor Carter; He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Melissa Louise Brown Fredericks of Clear Lake, LA.; daughter, Tina Fredericks of Clear Lake, LA; one son, Dale Fredericks of Clear Lake, LA ; adopted son, Rickey Trichel of Clear Lake, La.; special niece-Crystal Fredericks of Clear Lake, LA; two sister-Shirley Easterling of Clear Lake, LA and Diane Page and husband Frank of Port Vincent, LA; two brothers, Paul Fredericks and wife Paula and William Fredericks and wife Della all of Port Vincent, LA; brother-in-law, Arthur Roy Brown and wife Ivy of Clear Lake, LA; mother-in-law; Bernadean Brown of Clear Lake, LA.; twelve nieces, eleven nephews, seventeen great nephews, eleven great nieces, two great-great nephews and three great-great-nieces Pallbearers will be Arthur Roy Brown, Josh Sampey, Wayne Gourdon, Michael Gourdon, John Austin, and J. J. Page. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence (T-Boy) Sampey, Rickey Trichel, Michael Carter, David Carter, James Carter, David Gourdon and Jessie Richard Gourdon.
