Mildred Fletcher Harvey

Funeral Services for Mildred Harvey will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the 26th of May 2012 in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with Pastor David Allen to serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Baptist Cemetery in Gardner. Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, the 25th of May 2012 at Blanchard- St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Harvey, age 58, passed away on Monday, the 21st of May 2012 in her home in Cloutierville. She was born on the 12th of October 1953 to the late Carl and Helen Fletcher in Houston, Texas. She was a homemaker and also worked at the Oasis of Love in the school cafeteria. She took the meager fair that life offered her and turned it into a bountiful feast for her family. Her kids and grandkids were her life. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Oscar Harvey; her parents, Carl and Helen Fletcher; and her brother, Bobby Fletcher. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Carl Crawford and wife Dona of Shreveport, Sierra Sierra and husband Fidel of Finley, Ohio, and Adina Manry and husband Tommy of Natchitoches; 13 grandchildren; and her brother, John Wurzbach of Baton Rouge. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Ricky Sanders, David Weems, Christopher Durr, Ethan Parker, Perry Mobley and Young Kilpatrick.
