Cordellia Mae Holland

Our Mother, Cordellia Mae Gibson Holland, born August 6, 1922, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 28, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will be held Friday, June 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, LA. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at the funeral home with Rev. Glynn Davis and Terry Bohannon officiating. Burial will be at New Cedron Missionary Baptist Church, Vowells Mill, LA. Our Mother was a lovely Christian woman, who loved to talk about her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ, plant her garden and flowers and also making beautiful quilts by hand-stitch. Preceding her in death were her parents James Hamilton Gibson and Truey Elizabeth Branch Gibson, husband Ivy Earnest Holland, son Ivy James Holland, brothers Curtis Woodrow Gibson and Othel Odis Gibson, sisters Leola Elizabeth Leggett, and Eula Virgina Holland. She is survived by her son Waylon Holland and wife Cathy of Pasadena, TX, four daughters, Winnifred Cox Marcotte and late husband Tommy of Hallsville, TX, Elizabeth Ann Busby and husband Rodney of Provencal, LA, Janice Mae McFarland and husband Jerry of Garland, TX, and Addis Lynne Fuerst and husband David of Lewisville,TX. One sister Dorothy Lee Holland of Huntsville, TX. Eleven grandchildren, Stephen, Lisa, Carrie, Sandra, Cindy, Sheila, Tony, Kelly, Melanie, Chris and Jeremy. Eighteen great-grandchildren, Mindy, Nathan, Abigail, Ashley, Lexi, Avery, Alyssa, Meagan, Brittney, Derrick, Nick, Katie, Hunter, Blaise, Zackary, Candace, Marc and Caleb. Fourteen great-great-grandchildren,Vaurlie, Chandleur, Star, Matthew, Tina, Lily, Mary Catherine, Zoey, Kimberly, Jeremy, Ayla, Arabella, Jayden and Taylor.
