Funeral service for Artie Brantley Waggoner will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Doyle McGrew officiating. Burial will be in Goldonna Cemetery at Goldonna, La. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. Waggoner, 96, of Campti, La., died Monday, October 1, 2007, at Natchitoches Regional Long Term Care Unit in Natchitoches, La. She was a native of Goldonna, La. She was a homemaker and long time news correspondent for the Creston News, for the Natchitoches Times. She was a member of Goldonna Baptist Church and a Sunday School Teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. R. 'Jack' Waggoner; parents, Fred Brantley and Maudie Golden Brantley; sister, Eron Benge; brothers, Orlin Brantley and C. W. Brantley. She is survived by her one daughter, Genae Savic and husband Brato of Campti, La.; granddaughter, Theresa Anslem and husband Troy Anslem, Sr. of Campti, La.; two great-grandsons, Troy Ray Anslem, Jr. and Timothy Anslem both of Campti, La. Pallbearers will be Lloyd Garner, Travis Guin, Brandy Colby Simmons, Bobby Teer, Charles Cloud, and M. R. Friday.
