Funeral Services to celebrate the life of Reverend Charles W. Byles, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the 6th of June 2012 at the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with Senator Gerald Long to serve as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Rev. Byles, age 80, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Saturday, the 2nd of June 2012. He spent the majority of his life devoted to the ministry of Jesus, serving pastor to several churches the CENLA area. He had also worked for Tennessee Gas Company in Natchitoches. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Sheila Ogle and husband Larry of Hagewood; his grandchildren, Larry W. Ogle and Thomas J. Ogle and wife Jennifer; his great grandchildren, Aydan Ogle and Devan Howell; friend, Dana Ogle; his sisters, Billie Sue Settles and husband Arden of Marthaville, Jo Ann Barnhill of Hagewood, Shirley French of Marthaville and Linda Bernard and husband Brian of Natchitoches; his brothers, Terry Byles and wife Patricia of Many, Jimmy Byles of Marthaville, Glenn Byles of Clarence and Ronnie Byles of Natchitoches. In lieu of floral contributions donations in Rev. Byles name may be made to the Natchitoches Humane Society.
