The angels swooped down at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2012 and carried Erble to her heavenly home where she joined her husband, Eddie, and her daughter, Linda Carol.
Erble was born August 1, 1919 to Monroe David and Amanda Clara (Scroggins) Vascocu. She graduated from Flora High School May 29, 1936. She married Eddie Longlois on November 1,1941. A former resident of Cypress andFlora, she resided in Baton Rouge and French Settlement before moving to Kentwood.
She is survived by her daughters Amanda Clara Darbonne and Mary Lee Smith and husband,Bertin Guy; granddaughters, Angela Lynn Goss and husband, Ronnie and CarolMarie Darbonne Nemmo; great granddaughters, KeriFrancis Nemmo, Gabrielle Alvree and Victoria Lynn Goss; ten step grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren,Mary Maree and Zyon Ortega; her sister, Marlee Magee, two brothers, Troy and wife Mayo and Marium Vascocu, sister-in-law, Univee Vascocu, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be 1 pm Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis with Father John Cunningham officiating with interment following at Weaver Cemetery in Flora, La. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on Tuesday the 19th at the funeral home.
Erble is predeceased by her husband, Eddie, her daughter, Linda Carol; parents Monroe and Amanda,son-in-law, Delree Darbonne; brothers, Ucie and David; sisters-in-law, Jewel,Iskar, and Ura; and brother-in-law, Kendall “Fibber” Magee; one nephew and two nieces.
