A service to honor the life of Mrs. Johnnie Lee Cobb will be 2 pm Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time on Thursday, July 5th at Blanchard St. Denis Mrs. Cobb, 93 years of age, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in Natchitoches. She was born December 2, 1918 to John and Estella Harper in Sabine Parish. She was a resident of Natchitoches for over 75 years and a charter member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Gerald Wayne Cobb and his wife Diana of Natchitoches; daughter, Johnette C. Smith and her husband Dr. Dennis Smith of Bossier City; grandchildren, Randee Beale of Goldonna, Toni Stroud of Montgomery, Curtis Barfield of Cabot, AR, James H. Cobb, II of Prairieville, Kristen Simpson of Mandeville, Karis Cobb of Natchitoches, Audre Sizemore of Old Hickory, TN, Julie Cobb of Natchitoches, Michael W. Cobb of Natchitoches, Jonathan Smith of Bossier City, Brandon Smith of Shreveport and Alison Spann of Shreveport. She was blessed with numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Bernice Cobb; son, James H. Cobb; daughter, Gloria Foster; grandson, Michael Barfield; and her parents.
