Funeral service for Henry J. Barrow, Jr. will be held 9 AM Monday, October 15, 2007 in St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Jamie Medina officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Monday, October 15, 2007 from 8 until service time in the church with a rosary at 8:30 AM Coach Barrow, 85, of Natchitoches, La., died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Louisiana Extended Health Care in Natchitoches, La. He was a native of Baton Rouge, La. He was a retired principal and coach for Natchitoches Parish School Board. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Louisiana Coaches Association, Louisiana Teachers Association, and Southern Alumni Association. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry James Barrow, Sr. and Matilde LeBrane Barrow. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Geneva Burton Barrow of Natchitoches, La.; one daughter, Anita Helton and husband Mervin of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Charmagne Patrice Helton of Ruswood, Ga., Kevin Gerard Helton of London, England, and Kyle Henry Helton of Boston, Ma.; two great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Jared Helton both of Ruswood, Ga.
