Michael Waylen Edwards, age 24, of Gorum, LA, died Monday, October 15, 2007, in Gorum, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, LA. The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Gorum Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at the Gorum Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 17, 2007, with Rev. Edward Basco officiating. Interment will be at Gorum Cemetery in Gorum, LA. Michael was born on October 25th, 1982 in Pineville, LA. He lived his life in Gorum with his family and friends. Michael was a very outgoing young man who had a love for life. He loved riding his tractor and helping neighbors out with work around their homes. He especially loved sunflower seeds, Dr. Peppers, and Snickers bars. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was the son of George Edwards and Sue Rister Edwards. He is also survived by his four sisters, Lisa Forestier and husband Kevin of Scott, LA, Patty Edwards and husband Chris Dubois of Chopin, LA, Tammye Edwards of Gorum, LA, Nikki Edwards of Gorum, LA; one brother, Eric Edwards of Gorum, LA; maternal grandfather, Andrew Rister of Flatwoods, LA; three nephews, Blake Dubois of Chopin, LA, Colby Edwards of Gorum, LA, and Alex Dubois of Chopin, LA; and one niece, Amber Dubois of Chopin, LA.
