Thomas "Tommy" Davis

Thomas “Tommy” Davis, 81, of Natchitoches, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 28th at the First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches with Pastor Doug de Graffenried officiating. Tommy graduated from Northeast Louisiana State College in Monroe with a Master of Science Degree in Geology. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Texas. His professional career was spent with the Louisiana Highway Dept. and Louisiana Industries in Alexandria, LA. He was a Master Mason of the Hinson Lodge No. 472. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy; and granddaughter, Amanda. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Sadie Joan Russell Davis; his son, Robert Davis and his wife Nancy, his daughter, Lisa Welborn and her husband Jeff; sister, Virginia McLamore; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren as well as many lifelong friends. Tommy will be interred in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Natchitoches or the charity of your choice. The Davis family would like to thank Dr. Otis Barnum and the nursing staff of Natchitoches Regional Medical Center for the care they gave Tommy.
