Stephen Charles Norwood

Stephen Charles “Chuck” Norwood passed away peacefully with family and friends next to his side on August 3, 2012. Chuck was born July 17, 1972 in Zachary, Louisiana. Chuck was married June 1, 2002 to his loving wife Heidi Manery Norwood. Chuck and Heidi have one daughter, Annabelle Sydney Norwood. Chuck is survived by his father Stephen Boyd Norwood, mother Josephine Everritt Norwood and his brother Marcus Hunter Norwood. Chuck graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1990, and he earned his Associate’s degree in divinity from Christ For the Nations Institute. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences at Northwestern State University. He also gained a Master’s degree in English Education and a Master’s degree in English from Northwestern State University. Chuck worked for Natchitoches Parish School Board for 7 years before becoming an Instructor of English at Northwestern State University. Visitation will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches on Tuesday, August 7 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches following visitation at 10:00 a.m.
