Graveside services for Margaret Lonadier Bryant will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at St. Maurice Cemetery in St. Maurice, LA with Rev. Mark Rotramel officiating. Interment will follow at St. Maurice Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on August 25, 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA.
Margaret Lonadier Bryant, 82 years of age, passed away August 21, 2012. She was born August 18, 1930 to the late Julius Lonadier and Julvina DeSoto Lonadier in St. Maurice, LA. Margaret was a loving and hard working lady. She was honest, and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard as much as she could. She was a Christian woman, being very involved in her church at First Baptist of Ball, LA. She worked over 30 years for Southern/South Central Bell Telephone Company in Shreveport, LA. She was a caring mother, she worked hard to provide for her family, and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Barber and his wife, Virginia, of Lumberton, TX; one granddaughter, Rebecca Barber of Lumberton, TX; one brother, Clifton Lonadier of St. Maurice, and one sister, Billie Trissler of St. Maurice, LA; the father of her son, Delbert Barber of Schulter, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Julvina DeSoto Lonadier; two sisters, Sadie Stroud and Laura Farr; and six brothers, James "Doc" Lonadier, Jack Lonadier, Herbert Lonadier, Elmo Lonadier, Dalton Lonadier, and Clyde Lonadier.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests the donations be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home at 7200 Desiard Street in Monroe, LA 71203.
