Buford C. Pinder, Jr.

A service to honor the life of Buford C. Pinder, Jr. will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, the 25th of August 2012 at the Crews New Salem Baptist Church in the Crews community with Rev. Dennis Durand to officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Maurice Cemetery. Friends are invited to visitation on Friday evening at the church beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until the service the following day. Mr. Pinder, age 64, passed away Wednesday evening in his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of the Crews area. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his brothers, L. J. Lachney and Michael Lachney and his sister, Linda L. Lewis. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years Helga Pinder of Crews; his children, Helga Louise Mason and husband Chad of Kansas City, Missouri, Amanda Elizabeth Kelley and husband Shane of Colfax, Samantha Claudette Pinder and fiance’ Kevin of Bossier City, Buford Claude Pinder III of Crews; his parents, Buford Claude Pinder Sr. and Louise Pinder of Crews; his sisters, Annette Pinder of Crews and Patricia Lloyd and husband Boyd, Jr. of Keithville; his grandchildren, Matthew Allen, Michael Kelley, Christopher Allen, Hannah Kelley, Julie Stroud, Willow Addison, Summer Kelley and Lily Addison; and a host nieces, nephews and close friends.
