Nancy Evon Owens Morgan Turnbo, age 72, of Noble, LA, died Thursday, October 25, 2007, at her home in Noble, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA. The visitation will be held from 6:00 PM, Friday, October 26, 2007 until service time at the Noble Baptist Church in Noble, LA. The funeral service will be at Noble Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 27, 2007, with Rev. Jimmy Price and Rev. Danny Aycock officiating. Interment will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Slagle, LA.
Nancy was born August 01, 1935, in Galbraith, LA. She was raised in Galbraith, and later moved to Tioga, where she resided for many years. Later in life, she moved to Noble and has made her home there every since. Mrs. Nancy was a very compassionate lady, one who loved to take care of those around her. She loved to cook and fish, and had many other wonderful hobbies. She loved her kids more than anything else in her life. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all of those whose life she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Owens and Mary Fletcher Owens, one sister, Vera Mae Knight; and her husband from a previous marriage, Don Morgan.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy Lee Turnbo; three daughters, Brenda Procell and husband Gilbert of Converse, LA, Marilyn Hatten and husband Benny of Georgetown, LA, and Jana Procell and husband James of Converse, LA; two sons, James Turnbo and wife Elaine of Pollock, LA and Jeff Turnbo and wife Mendy of Tioga, LA; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Callie Faye Smith of Natchitoches, LA, Veola Bynog of Tioga, LA, Helen Beebe of Prospect, LA, and Minnie Neal of Prospect, LA; and one brother, Otto M. Owens, Jr. of Bentley, LA.
