Clavord "Clay" Sepulvado Hennigan

Funeral services for Clavord Sepulvado (Clay) Hennigan will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception church in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Burial will follow at the American Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, August 27, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with a rosary will be said at 7 p.m. He is the son of Dr. Margaret Kilcoyne, Director of the School of Business and Mr. Jim Kilcoyne, Director of NSU Small Business Development Center, and John Hennigan, U.S. Army, (ret.). Clay graduated from Northwestern State University with a B.S. in Business. He lived and worked in New Orleans, LA. Clay had a warm and kind personality, had a distinct southern charm, and could brighten anyone’s day with his smile and sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was hunting or fishing, and loved hanging out with his group of friends. He was a great friend, son, brother, and uncle, and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his sister, Brooke Hennigan; his maternal grandparents, Walter Clavord “Doug” and Polly Lou Sepulvado of Boyce, Louisiana; and one aunt, Aliene Hennigan of Shreveport. Clay is survived by his parents; his grandmother, Rosemary Kilcoyne; three brothers, Trey and wife Ashley, Colby Hennigan, and Robbie Carter; three sisters, Martha Kilcoyne, Kelsey Hennigan, and Ashley Carter Johnson; and his niece Madison Brooks Hennigan; and nephew, Noah Tyler Hennigan. Pallbearers are Douglas Champion, Erik Eliasson, Stephen Martinez, Dylan Longlois, Cahir Doherty, Brian Eaves, David Pittman, Joey Sepulvado, Robbie Carter, and Trevor Harrell. Honorary pallbearers will Kyle Hennigan, Jamie Hennigan, Ryan Breedlove, and the Natchitoches Central High School class of 1999. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations may be sent to the Brooke Hennigan Endowed Scholarship at the Northwestern State University Foundation.
