Rosanell (Howington) Jordan

December 24, 1946 — September 4, 2012

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rosanell (Howington) Jordan will be 10 am Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Robeline First Baptist Church with Brother Brian Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in Robeline. The family will receive friends after 5 pm on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Robeline First Baptist. Rosanell Jordan passed away, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, September 04, 2012 with her family by her side. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed Sunday breakfast with her children and grandchildren where she would serve her famous buttermilk biscuits. She was a very hard worker and enjoyed working in her yard. She especially loved her church family and the fellowship she shared with them. Rosanell was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, David Wayne Jordan; and her parents, Joe and Mel Howington. She is survived by four daughters, Juanita Green and her husband Sammy of Robeline, Kim Jordan and her husband Skip of Robeline, Jenny Sparks and her husband Donald of Natchitoches and Belinda Berry and her husband Wayne of Robeline; a very special friend, Mrs. Ann Moran McMillan; three brothers, David Howington, Marvin Tims and Marvin Howington; seven grandchildren, Rica Green, Samantha Green, Ashley Boone, Brett Jordan, Kristen Berry, Joshua Berry, and Dakota Sparks; six great grandchildren, Jacey Morvan, Gabe Morvan, Haelyn Morvan, Tristan Manasco, Tatum Manasco and Reggie Perrow; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Gil Jordan, Tracy Jordan, Scotty DuBois, Stoney Dubois, Luke Manasco and Jerrin Morvan. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Procell and Dewayne Lovell.
