A mass of Christian Burial to honor the life of Mary Lucille LaCour will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the 8th of September 2012 at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Melrose with Reverend Adam Travis to serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. at the church hall. Recitation of the holy rosary will begin at 10:30.
Mrs. LaCour, age 81, passed away on Monday, the 3rd of September 2012 in Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Alexandria. She was the caregiver of her mother until her time of death and also provided care to others. She loved all her nieces and nephews and always knew how to have a good time.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James LaCour; her parents, Emmitt Sr. and Mary Metoyer; her brothers, Emmitt Metoyer, Jr. and Silton Metoyer, Sr.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Betty Ann LaCour of Natchitoches; her sister in laws, Lillian Metoyer and Earana Metoyer both of Alexandria; her nieces, Melissa Rivera and husband Rick, Mary Lucille LaCour and fiancé’ Dwight Kilgore and Heather Metoyer; her nephews, Silton Metoyer, Jr. and wife Bridget, Cecil Ray LaCour, Jr. and wife Maria, Marshall James LaCour, Michael Troy Metoyer, Rodney LaCour, Emmitt “Trey” Metoyer and wife Stacey and Daniel LaCour and wife Brittney; her 18 great nieces and nephews and 1 great great nephew.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will Cecil Ray LaCour, Jr., Marshall James LaCour, Emmitt “Trey” Metoyer, Rodney LaCour, Daniel LaCour, and Silton Metoyer, Jr.
In lieu of floral and potted memorial contributions, the family requests that memorial donations in Mary’s name be made to the Northwestern Louisiana Cancer Center, 211 Medical Drive, Natchitoches, La. 71457.
