Edward N. Conlay, Sr.

A service to honor the life of Mr. Edward N. Conlay, Sr. will be 10 am Friday, September 7, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery, Chestnut, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis. Mr. Edward N. Conlay, 68 years of age, passed away September 5, 2012 with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Conlay, Sr. and Dorothy (Weaver) Conlay; and a sister, Eloise Gleason. He is survived by his wife, Alberta (LeBlanc) Conlay of Chestnut; his children, Linda C. Austin of Creston, Edward N. Conlay, Jr. of Black Lake and Loretta C. Williams of Creston; a sister, Lois Martin; brothers, Nelson Conlay, Jr. and Billy Earl Conlay. He was blessed with nine grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Aaron Conlay, Thomas Austin, Thomas N. Austin, Joseph Austin, Collin Williams, Ed Smith, Cody Jones and Ronald Dale Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Williams, Matthew Williams, Billy Earl Conlay, Nelson Conlay, Jr., Jeremy Evans and Robert Martin.
