Shawnee O. Nash

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Shawnee (Osborn) Nash will be 2 pm Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Coldwater Baptist Church with Bro. Rickey Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home and again on Wednesday from 8 am until noon and from 1 pm until service time at the Coldwater Baptist Church. Shawnee Nash, 79 years of age, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. A long time member of Coldwater Baptist Church, Shawnee loved fellowship with her church family. Listening to southern gospel music brought her great enjoyment. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 60 years, Carl T. Nash, Sr. of Natchitoches; son, Carl T. “Butch” Nash, Jr. and his wife Lori of Westlake, LA; daughters, Lynda Dickson and her husband Steve of Bossier City, LA and Annette Guillory and her husband Marty of Natchitoches; sisters, Mary Fontenot of Lafayette, LA and Lynda Trahan of Westlake, LA; Brothers, Clyde Osborn and Bobby Osborn both of Baton Rouge, LA. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Clyde Osborn and Eula Mae (DeLatin) Osborn; a daughter, Gayle Walsworth; and a sister, Glynda Broadway Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Clint Sanford, Clint Nash, Randy Achord, Matthew Dickson, Austin Walsworth, and Will Rachal. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Allen, Bo Wilson, and Wonnell Brister.
