Hugh Carroll Davis

A service to honor the life of Mr. Hugh Carroll Davis will be 2 pm Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the United Pentecostal Church of Provencal with Bro. Paul Grace and Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating. Interment will follow at Provencal Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis and from 1 pm until service time on Thursday the 20th at the church. Mr. Davis, 69 years of age and a resident of Provencal, passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 in Natchitoches. He was born in Gilmer, TX to Wilbur James Davis, Sr. and Belva Vines Davis on July 21, 1943. He was a saw mill owner operator for many years. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Loretta Davis; son, David Davis; grandchildren Kaitlin Davis, Emma Davis, Jacob Slaughter and Kimberly Slaughter; mother, Belva Davis; brothers, Larry Davis, Sr., Ralph Davis and Wilbur Davis, Jr.; sisters, Janice Reed and Pamela King; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
