Earl James Morvan

Earl James Morvan, age 71, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday, November 5, 2007. A rosary service will be held during the visitation at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2007, with Rev. Jamie Medina officiating. Interment will be at St. Anne Cemetery in Powhatan, LA. Mr. Earl was a hard worker, but most importantly, he was a family man. His children and his grandchildren were his life. He loved his wife more than anything else. He loved to hunt and fish. He was a diesel mechanic for C. E. Collins trucking, and also worked for John Luster and Herman Taylor Company. He will be truly missed by his family and his friends. He was the preceded in death by his parents, Jule Morvan and Josephine Corralles Morvan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Doris Morvan; three daughters, Becky Garcie of Natchitoches, LA, Donna Vanwormer of Vicksburg, MS, and Betty Gale Morvan of Hattiesburg, MS; two sons, Earl Morvan, Jr. and wife Gail of Natchitoches, LA and Eric Morvan and wife Betty of Natchitoches, LA; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Niette of Natchitoches, LA, and one brother, Floyd Morvan of Shreveport, LA.
