Robert Wilburn Brown, age 87, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2007, at his home in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. The visitation will be held at the Coldwater Baptist Church at 5:00 PM Monday, November 12, 2007 and will last all night until service time Tuesday. The funeral service will be at Coldwater Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 13, 2007, with Rev. David Matlock, Rev. Randy Oliff, and Rev. Wesley Jackson officiating. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Hagewood, LA. He was born in Inez, TX on July 24, 1920. He lived the majority of his life in Houston, TX. He served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Robert loved to fish and hunt, and was fond of the outdoors. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. He was a kind and giving person and will be greatly missed by all of those around him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Brown and Ada Clopton Brown; one son, Terry W. Ammons; two sisters, Irene Kolenda and Iva Lusco, and two brothers, Jim Brown and L D Brown. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Molly V. Brown; three daughters, Nicki A Carnes of New Caney, TX, Elaine Molandes of Porter, TX, and Vicki Molandes of Nacogdoches, TX; two sons, John R. Ammons of Hemphill, TX and Daryl A. Bruno of Lake Charles, LA; eleven grandchildren, Robert Carnes, Vanessa Carnes, Amanda Johnson, Sam Molandes, Stacie Maldonado, Tony Molandes, Vickey Adams, Tammy Thornton, Terry W. Ammons, Jr., Kristen Ammons, Ricky Ammons, Jr.; fourteen great grandchildren; and his extended family, the McCallisters. Pallbearers will be Robert Carnes, Sam Molandes, Tony Molandes, Daryl Bruno, Ricky Ammons, and Danny Jordan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Carnes, Calvin Molandes, John Grayson, and Leo Molandes.
