Memorial service for Velma Clare Hodge Zolzer will be held 11 AM Friday, November 16, 2007, in First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jacqueline King and Rev. Catherine Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Zolzer, 84, of Natchitoches, LA., died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation in Natchitoches, LA. She was a native of Center, Colorado. She was a retired bookkeeper and social worker for The American Red Cross. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sertoma, United Methodist Women, and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Pink Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Zolzer; parents, Clarence David Hodge and Vera Faye Sourbeer Hodge.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Zolzer Cason and husband Leal of Moore, OK; one son, David Zolzer and wife Melinda of Natchitoches, LA; five grandchildren, Michelle Phillips, Kristopher Cooper, Brian Santistevan, Jason Santistevan, Jeffrey Santistevan; six great grandchildren, Ashley Pacot, Megan Pacot, Beth Phillips, Alex Cooper, Zach Cooper, and Jacob Cooper.
