Funeral Services to honor the life of Circe Travis Gamble will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, the 3rd of October 2012 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Natchitoches with Rev.Wayne Morrow to serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Beulah Methodist Cemetery in Marthaville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the 2nd of October 2012 at Blanchard-St Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Mr. Gamble, age 82 of Natchitoches, passed away on Saturday morning, the 29th of September 2012 in his home after an extended illness. He was born on the 13th of April 1930 in Marthaville. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Korean War. He retired from Marathon Oil Company after 30 years as an accountant. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Natchitoches. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rommeiss Gamble and his son, Gary Travis Gamble. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Wanda Gamble of Natchitoches; his four daughters, Melanie Gleason and husband Glen of Ruston, Linda Thompson and husband Arthur of Huntsville, Alabama, Kayla Damron of Clovis, New Mexico, and Mary Koob and fiance’ Roger Ferrier of Natchitoches; his fourteen grandchildren, Angela Lawrence of Plano, Texas, Ashley Lonadier and husband Clint of Ruston, April Krishna and husband Niraj of McKinney, Texas, Cara Thompson of Miami, Florida, Carl and Caitlin Thompson both of Huntsville, Alabama, Heather Gamble of Mississippi, Stephanie Matheney of Clovis, New Mexico, John Gleason of Ruston, Jessica and Brianna Gamble both of Shreveport, Jared Koob of Natchitoches, and Tyler and Kaycee Damron of Clovis, New Mexico; his six great grandchildren, Robert White of McKinney, Texas, Madelyn and Bransen Brown both of Plano, Texas, Makinzie Nesloney of McKinney, Texas, Jonathan Lonadier of Ruston, and Oliver Koob of Shreveport; his brothers, Henry Gamble and wife Patricia of Arizona, Nolan Gamble of Natchitoches, and Irby Gamble and wife Judy of West Monroe; his sisters, Kathleen Boswell and husband Fred of Tyler, Texas and Carolyn Lee and husband Hardy of Stonemountain, Georgia. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Henry Gamble, Irby Gamble, Clint Lonadier, John Gleason, Jared Koob, Carl Thompson, Tyler Damron, and Robert White. Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Gleason, Arthur Thompson, Roger Ferrier, Nolan Gamble, Woody Cox, Charles Verrett, Terry Hendricks, Larry Ryals, Ray Self, and Dean Dove. The family would like to extend their thanks to The Hospice of Natchitoches and Roger Ferrier for all their loving care and support during Circe’s illness.
