Mayberda Del Rio LaCour

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Mayberda (Del Rio) LaCour will be 2 pm Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Chapel located at Black Lake, LA. Reverend Ryan Humphries will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow at Pardee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 pm on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. La Cour, 87 years of age, passed away Sunday October 28, 2012 in Coushatta, LA. She is survived by her sons, Aubrey Junior Mathews and his wife Jeanette of Black Lake, Allan James Mathews of Black Lake; daughter, Mary Bell and her husband Chris of Black Lake; sister, Alberta Dortlon and her husband Aston of Campti; grandchildren, Pam Trichel, Jackie Trichel, Janice Bynog, Calvin Mathews, Alvin “Pete” Mathews, Kathy Smith, Karen Morlan, Virgil “Peanut” Smith, Bernadette Hill, Rita Mathews, Sonya Speir, Sally Stewart, Amelia Mathews, Matt Bell, Carissa Wimpey, Clint Mathis, and Stephanie Mathis; 33 great grand children as well as numerous great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Murrell LaCour, Bernard Smith and Aubrey Mathews, Sr.; parents, Albert and Medie (Pardee) Del Rio; children, Alvin Mathews, Sally Mathews Betty Mae Philyaw, Forest Wayne Mathews and Diane Mathis; grandchildren Aubrey “Skip” Mathews and DeBet Lee Jean Mathews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Kevin Hill, Kyle Hill, Dale Speir, Josiah Speir, Jimmy Rhymes and J.W. Rhymes.
