Joyce Crump

A service to honor the life of Joyce Crump will be 1 pm Friday, November 2, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. John Foster, Sis. Roseanne Osborn and Sis. Caroline Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Crump, 75 years of age and a resident of Marthaville, passed away October 29, 2012 in Shreveport. She was born November 23, 1936 to the late Roy J. Barnhill and Nellie (Berly) Barnhill in Marthaville. Joyce worked for many years at DeBlieux and Joelens. She was an active member in Marthaville and Beulah Methodist church. Many of her Wednesdays were spent making prayer quilts with her Prayers & Squares group. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymond “Bud” Crump; parents, Roy and Nellie Barnhill; brother, Doyle Barnhill and a sister, Helen Barnhill. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Tim Crump and his wife Robbie of Natchitoches; granddaughters, Jamie Carnline and her husband Toby of Robeline and Jenny Neel and her husband Jonathan of Many; a brother, Jimmy Barnhill and his wife Katie of Shreveport; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many close friends. Pallbearers will be her nephews and cousins.
