Funeral service for Kenneth Walker, Sr. will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Spanish Lake, LA with Rev. Antony Aelavanthara officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Spanish Lake, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on November 2, 2012 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm during the visitation.
Kenneth Walker, Sr., 69 years of age, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Kenneth was born on September 28, 1943 to the late Jewel Walker and Agnes Cordova Walker in Robeline, LA. Kenneth was a great husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending his time outdoors hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends, but his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family. He served his country in the US Army, where he did one tour in Vietnam. Kenneth was a great man, a true friend, would help anyone in need, and will be dearly missed by all those whose life he touched.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Marie Moore Walker of Robeline, LA; two daughters, Miranda Nolley and husband, Gary of Natchitoches, LA and Becky Bozeman and husband Truly of Pleasant Hill, LA; one son, Kenneth Walker, Jr. of Robeline, LA; four grandchildren, Wynce Nolley, Coy Nolley, Tyler Walker, and Truly Bozeman, IV; four sisters, Yvonne Moore of Robeline, LA, Kay Parker of Leesville, LA, Kim Martin of Baton Rouge, LA, and Randi Crnkovick of Robeline, LA; and one brother, Jerry Walker of Robeline, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewel Walker and Agnes Cordova Walker.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Wynce Nolley, Coy Nolley, Tyler Walker, Chris Neugent, Gary Nolley, and Truly Bozeman.
Ray Irvin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
