Alice Llorens LaCour

A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Llorens LaCour will be 11 am Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle with Rev. Adam Travis serving as celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 8 am until 10:15 am on Wednesday, November 14th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:45 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. LaCour, 96 years of age, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012. She was born January 7, 1916 to John and Clara Llorens in Melrose, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy LaCour; her parents; daughter, Shirley LaCour; son, Bobby Joe LaCour; great grandson, Quentin Percy Rachal; sisters, Mary Louise Roque and Nita Llorens; and brothers, Hoyt (Bill) Metoyer and Russell Llorens. Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Horace LaCour (Nancy), Donald LaCour, Joan Metoyer (Cornelius), Alice McConnell (Ray), Barbara (Cookie) Rachal (Curtis Balthazar); a devoted daughter-in-law, Florance (Sis) LaCour. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Cornelious Metoyer, Leo Dupree, Sammy Dugar, Keith Rachal, Rodney Rachal, and D.J. Rachal. Honorary pallbearers will be Horace LaCour, Donald LaCour, Curtis Balthazar, Kenny Sladick and Anthony LaCour. Jasmine Rachal will serve as cross bearer. The family would like to thank Natchitoches Community Care, Dr. Harris, Dr. Picou and Hospice of Natchitoches for the care provided Mrs. Alice. A special thanks to Jole Rachal, Stephanie Walker and Felecia Pattain for their support over the years.
