Donald Jerald Desadier

Donald Jerald Desadier, 65, of Natchitoches, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012, at home with his wife and daughter. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, the 27th of November 2012 at 11:00 am in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, La. Donnie was born January 6, 1947 in Natchitoches, LA. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked for the Natchitoches Fire Department for 29 years until his retirement as Assistant Chief. He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace “Buck” Desadier, Jr. and mother, Amy Tingle Desadier. He is survived by his wife, Sue LaCaze Desadier; one child, Donna Desadier McNeely and husband Nicky; and grandchildren, Abby, Anna, Christopher, Austin and Blake McNeely and his wife Brooke. He is also survived by one great-grandson, Kaden McNeely. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed hunting and camping with his buddies but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Donnie Desadier.
