Funeral service for Winnie Clark Young will be held 2 PM Saturday, January 19, 2008 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Jerry Smelley officiating. Burial will be in Weaver Cemetery at Chestnut, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 1 PM until 2 PM in the funeral home. Mrs. Young, 85, of Campti, LA and formerly of Bossier City, LA died Thursday, January 17, 2008, at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Long Term Care Unit in Natchitoches, LA She was a native of Chestnut, LA and was a homemaker and worked in the business community. She and her husband Lt. Col. Benjamin P. Young traveled extensively during his military career in the U. S. Navy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin P. Young; parents, Seaborn A Clark and Mary Alice Walsh Clark; two sisters, Remonia Stewart and Nolia Harper two brothers, Howard Clark and Lloyd Clark. She is survived by one sister, Elouise Clark of Natchitoches, LA; one brother, Norman Clark of Gulfport, MS; locally one niece, Mary Beth Guin and husband Travis of Campti, LA and great niece, Ramona Guin of Ruston, LA and ten nieces and nephews from out of state.
