Betty Jo Ballard Hall

Betty Jo Ballard Hall age 88 died in Marthaville, LA on November 27, 2012. She was born in Jefferson, TX in 1924. She was married to James L. Hall for 59 years, and had two daughters: Tama Jo and Jamy. She is survived by: daughter Jamy Grant, grandsons James and David Grant, great granddaughters Callia, Autumn, Katherine, Rebekah, and Elisabeth. She was a school teacher for 22 years and a state Tax auditor for 23 years. As a child, her family traveled the nation as professional cotton pickers during The Great Depression when she earned the nickname “Two Row Jo”. She was a charter member of the Marthaville Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as treasurer and deaconess for over 40 years. Funeral services will be held at Marthaville Seventh Day Adventist Church Friday Nov 30th, 2:30. Burial will be in Marthaville Cemetery following services. Visitation will be Thursday November 29th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral home in Natchitoches from 5-7pm.
