Catherine Kay

A service to celebrate the life of Catherine M. Kay will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis with Bro. Randy Olliff officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery in Flora, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at Blanchard St. Denis. Mrs. Kay, 75 years of age, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012. She was born in Wallace, LA to Louis and Lessie (Johnette) LaCaze on Christmas day in 1936. She was a resident of the Harmony Community and a devoted member to Harmony Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Karen Sharp and her husband Donald, Iris Smith and her husband Tim, Mark Kay and his wife Shannon and Keith Kay and his wife Robin; grandchildren, Michelle Sharp, Joey Sharp, Donna Wood, Rickie Smith, Lisa Moran, Louis Kay, Christopher Kay, Jessica Kay, Hannah Kay, Holly Kay and Mary Kathryn Kay; 16 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include David Wood, Louis Kay, Louis Briley, Leslie Dunn Jr., Jay Kay, and Rickie Smith.
