Bobby Wayne Deen died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in a Shreveport
hospital. Bobby was born to Audrey and Lonnie Deen on October 17, 1941. Visitation will be Friday, December 14th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, and recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday morning, December 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Trichel Community, LA.
Bobby’s outgoing personality led him to his first career at Futrell
Chevrolet; he was an outstanding salesman and never met a stranger.
Always wanting to serve his community and state, Bobby served on the State Highway Commission from 1972 until 2012. He was a member and president of the Grant Parish School Board. He was also a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter 1357 and district deputy. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends. He also enjoyed singing with the Flat Cats, a band that was comprised of high school friends.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Lemoine Deen of 36 years and 4
children, Wayne Deen and his wife Mary of Pollock, Connie Davis and
her husband Brad of Fort Worth, TX, Allen Deen and his wife Lisa of
Ville Platte, and Kim Ramon and her husband Lonnie of Fort Worth, TX; his brother, Randolph and wife Betty of Splendora, TX and his sister, Dee Humphrey and husband Arland of Gonzales. Bobby and Yvonne have eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Leland Deen.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Deen, William Ramon, John Kent Ramon, SethNorris, Casey Deen, Brent Deen, Gil James, and Ryan James.
