Norma Jean Holland

Funeral services for Norma Jean Holland will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22nd in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Brother David Lloyd will officiate. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Vowells Mill. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday December 21st at the funeral home. Mrs. Norma Jean Holland was born on July 27, 1937. She passed away on December 20, 2012 at the age of 75. Norma was a member of New Cedron Missionary Baptist Church in Vowells Mill. She was a dedicated and loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, step-mother, and friend. She found joy in the simple things in life; such as watching and feeding the birds, squirrels and butterflies. She loved working in her flower yard and vegetable garden, reading, and putting together puzzles. She enjoyed playing games with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother Lois Craig and an infant brother. Left to cherish her memory is her husband George Othel Holland of Vowell’s Mill, La; her father, Curtis Craig of Vowells Mill, LA; her step-daughter LeAnn Perkins and husband Steve of Pasadena, TX; her sister Judy Penrod and husband Charles of Vowells Mill LA; her niece Tracy Penrod of Vowells Mill, LA; her niece Rebecca Salard and her husband Johnny of Natchitoches , LA; her nephew Curtis Penrod and his wife Lizzie of Natchitoches, LA; and numerous other family members and friends. Pallbearers will be Wilmer Holland, Randy Yopp, Donald Wayne Sharp, Sherman Doolittle, Harold Pitts, and Bryant Gandy.
