Lester Elbert Gunter

Funeral services for Lester Gunter will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, the 27th of December 2012 in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the Reverend Linda Clark to officiate. Burial will follow in Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches. Visitation will be on Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Gunter, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, the 26th of December 2012 at the Christus Highland Hospital in Shreveport. He was born on the 29th of December 1920 to Elbert and Leta Gunter in Goldonna. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Leta Gunter; his sisters, Lanell Miller, Jean Maricelli, Francis Harris and Susie Gunter; and his brother, Everett Gunter. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Lois Gunter of Natchitoches; his daughter, Cindy Mead of Columbia, South Carolina; his brother, James Olin Gunter of Mansfield; his sister, Eula Henry of Natchitoches; and two grandchildren.
