Delia Smith Wallette

Funeral services for Delia Smith Wallette will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, the 30th of December 2012 in chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the Reverend Carl Gulde to officiate. Burial will follow in the Nativity Catholic Cemetery in Campti. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches. Mrs. Wallette, age 94 of Colfax, passed away on Thursday, the 27th of December 2012 in the Colfax Reunion Nursing Home. She was born on the 23rd of September 1918 in Grant Parish to Henry and Permelia Smith. She was a member of United Baptist Church in Campti. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wallette; her parents, Henry and Permelia Smith; her granddaughter, Roxanne McManus; her brothers, J.C. Smith and Bernie Smith; and her sisters, Ollie Ricardo, Lucille Myers, and Julia Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Bryant and husband Herschell; her grandchildren, Rodney McManus and wife Sheila, and Orin McManus; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Jordan McManus. Pallbearers will be her family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons from United Baptist Church in Campti. In lieu of floral contributions, donations is Mrs. Wallette’s name may be made to United Baptist Church in Campti.
