Patsye Parker-Coon

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Patsye Parker-Coon will be 2 pm Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Marthaville Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Michael Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5 pm on Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Marthaville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Patsye Parker Coon, age 79 of Marthaville, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Glen Retirement Community in Shreveport. She was born March 12, 1933 in Atlanta, GA to James Porter and Mary Francis (Hansford) Porter. She was a dedicated member of the Marthaville Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, J.D. Parker, Jr. and her 2nd husband, Louis Harold Coon; as well as her parents. She is survived by her sons, Charles “Jerry” Parker and his wife Melissa of Marthaville and Jimmy Parker and his wife Diane of Stanley; daughter, Georgia Hilton and her husband Mike of Natchitoches. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Michael Hilton, Sara Hilton, Jacob Whitten, Matthew Whitten, Riley Parker, Kailey Parker, Kayla Parker and Morgan Moore and her husband Kendrick; 2 great grandchildren, Aria Moore and Ansley Kate Whitten as well as one expected to shortly arrive. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Riley Parker, Michael Hilton, Kendrick Moore, Mike McGinnis, Bill Grant, Jarrod Coon and Steve Birdwell.
