Beatrice Metoyer Monette

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Beatrice (Metoyer) Monette will be 11 am Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA with Father Adam Travis serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 am until 10:30 am on Tuesday at the Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:30 am. Mrs. Monette, 85 years of age and a resident of Cloutierville, passed away Thursday January 10, 2013 in Natchitoches. She was born June 24, 1927 to Joseph and McCletta (Rachal) Metoyer. Beatrice attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and participated in the choir, Altar Society and Christiian Mothers. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She gave birth to her first daughter, Judy Metoyer. She later married Edness Monette, Jr. and they had four children, Mary Smith (Billy Ray), Charles Monette (Renee), Madonna Green (Charles) and Regina Monette. After raising her children, she enjoyed being a grandmother to her 13 grandchildren, Jamie, Brian Cheryl, Kevin, Michelle, Timmy, Carl, Jessica, Jackie, Melissa, Amy, James, and Laurie. The grandchildren provided her with1 5 great grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye, Monique, Leon, Brittany, Jeffery , Brian Joseph, Austin, Asia, Sole’, Aniya, Aalissa, Catilyn, Donie, Jayna and Ashira. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, James A. Metoyer, John H. Metoyer, and Joseph A. Metoyer; grandson, Michael Green; grand daughters, Monette Green and Jennifer Lynch; and great grandson, Romeo Lynch. Left to cherish her memory are her children, grand children, great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Metoyer and Melvin Metoyer; two aunts, Theresa Coutee and Ella Metoyer; as well as a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
