Robert "Bob" Guyott

Funeral services for USAF Ret. Msgt. Robert L. Guyott will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. Jason Gootee officiating. Interment will follow at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville, LA at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 28, 2013. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Robert Guyott, “Bob”, 81 years of age, passed away January 23, 2013. Bob was born August 11, 1931 to the late James Guyott and Laura Treaster Guyott in Alpena, MI. He leaves behind his girls- adored wife Harriet Guyott; his daughters, Diane Tullos and husband Richard, Laura Bolen and husband Larry, and Nancy "Toot" Guyott. He also leaves behind stepsons, Steve Rachal and wife Kim, Russell Rachal and wife LaDonna, Craig Rachal and wife Marla, and Patrick Rachal and wife Tish; his beloved chihuahua, Belle; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Richard Guyott; one sister, Dorothy Cieszlak; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Guyott and Laura Treaster Guyott; three brothers; and two sisters. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve Rachal, Russell Rachal, Craig Rachal, Patrick Rachal, Stevie Rachal, and Melanie Tullos. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard and Scott Tullos. The family has the greatest appreciation for the care and compassion shown by all of the health care workers, but most particularly, Dr.'s Brain Picou and Navid Eghbalieh, the hospice workers, and the many friends who help us during this time. A true military man until the end, Bob handled this past year with dignity and grace with very little complaint. Now he can feel better all over more than any place else. GO! Your troops are waiting for you!! In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the building fund at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
