Billy Norman, 86, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, at Lifecare Hospital in Shreveport, LA. Visitation with the family will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home on Friday evening, January 25, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, January 26, 2013 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Billy was born in 1926 in Coushatta, LA, to Leonard and Ella Norman. He lived most of his life in Natchitoches, LA. He married Doris Leah Foshee 58 years ago, and they lived and worked in Natchitoches where they raised three children: Gary, Danny, and Leah.
During WWII, Billy joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served two years on the U.S. Selinur in the South Pacific. He owned and worked with his brothers in their companies Norman Electric, Natchitoches Electric, and Industrial Design and Construction (IDC).
Billy was preceded in death by his parents and brother, L.C. Norman of Natchitoches. Survivors include his wife and best friend, Doris Foshee
Norman and three children of whom be was very proud: Gary Norman and wife Sheila of Shreveport, LA, Daniel Norman of Long Beach, CA, and Leah Norman Ricard and husband Frank of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Christopher Norman and wife Theresa of Shreveport, LA, Aimee Cidzik and husband Ryan of New Jersey, and Lauren and Eric Ricard of Shreveport; three precious great grandchildren, Jacob and Tanner Norman and Steele Cidzik; and his brother, Waddy Norman and his wife Faye.
