William J. 'Don' Tobin, Jr.

Funeral service for William J. 'Don' Tobin, Jr. will be held 3 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2008 in The Church of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. Jason Gootee and Rev. Jacob Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Fern Park Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches, LA. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 19, 2008 from 5 PM until 10 PM and on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 8 AM until 2 PM in the funeral home. Mr. Tobin, 66, of Natchitoches, La., died Sunday, February 17, 2008, in his residence. He was a retired route salesman, having worked for L. H. Johnson Wholesale for 8 years, Holsum Bread for 17 years, Budweiser Distributer for 13 years, Nakatosh Snacks for 7 years, and part time for Brookshires after retirement. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus chapter #1357, former two term president at the Loyal Order Of The Moose, former choir member at Immaculate Conception and was also an alter server. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph Tobin, Sr. and Louisa Irvin Harper; his step-father, Floyd Harper. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Yvonne LaCaze Tobin of Natchitoches, LA; two daughters, Barbara Roberts and husband Dwight, and Tina Tobin Freeman of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Bruce Tobin and wife Traci of Natchitoches, LA; two grandchildren, Willie Roberts and wife Ashleigh, and Tiffany Freeman of Natchitoches, LA; four great grandchildren, Jake Roberts, Caitlyn Tobin, Aubrey Roberts, and Railey Tobin; one sister, Evelyn Bice and husband Willie of Shreveport, LA; three brothers, Jimmy Harper and wife Cindy, Larry Harper of Natchitoches, LA, and Mike Tobin and wife Carleen of Cleveland, TX. Pallbearers will be Shannon McTire, Carroll Poche, Mike Casey, Richard Rachal, Bobby Fair, and Raymond Litton. Honorary pallbearers will be John McTire, Clyde LaCaze, Herbie Delacerda, Lonnie Casey, members of the Knights of Columbus and Loyal Order of the Moose.
