Helen Elaine Winkler Funeral service for Helen Elaine Winkler will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Dr. Mike Honzell officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on February 17, 2013 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Helen Elaine Winkler passed away from this life to her heavenly home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday afternoon February 15, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born to the late Carl and Mae Rigdon McCain on May 9, 1925 in Ashland, LA. She worked alongside her husband in the restaurant business from 1963 to 1989. She later became a homemaker after retiring and the best grandmother anyone would love to have. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank A. Winkler. Her parents and siblings Bobbie Sepulvado and Harold McCain also preceded her in death. Mrs. Winkler is survived by one son, James Ronald Winkler and wife Toni of Bossier City, LA; one daughter, Beverly Jean McFadden of Natchitoches, LA; grandchildren, Matthew Winkler and Emmalee Winkler of Bossier City, LA and Anthony Mcfadden and wife Victoria of Baton Rouge, LA; and her great grandchildren Sophie Hayes of Bossier City, LA and Olivia Levie and Andrew Levie of Baton Rouge, LA. Also left to cherish her memory is her loving sister, Sue McCain of Alexandria, LA with whom she spent many happy times. She had a special niece Sandra Hines of Natchitoches, LA who helped out many times along the way. She had numerous nieces and nephews that were special to her and a list to long to write. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memphis TN. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Otis Barnum for all of his care and support.
