Ruth Bolton Caldwell

Ruth Bolton Caldwell, 101 years of age, having lived a life of love dedicated to her faith, family and friends, died at her home on March 02, 2013. Ruth was a native of Bienville, LA, and a resident of Bastrop and Natchitoches, LA. She had genuineness and depth of character. Her love for her church, her family, and her friends was a life lesson on how to do things right. She graced our lives. She was a true child of God and will be missed dearly. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Murray Caldwell; one son, John Paul Caldwell; her parents, Mary Ann Harper and George Wesley Bolton; her sisters, Joy Bolton Mason, Lois Bolton Sneed, Myrtie Bolton Mangum, and Ora Bolton Allen; and her brothers, Otho George Bolton, George Wesley Bolton, Jr., and William Harper Bolton. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Caldwell Temple and her husband, Dr. Austin L Temple, Jr.; her grandson, Dr. Austin L Temple, III and his wife Dr. Lucie Lauve Temple; one granddaughter, Amy Temple Brainard and her husband, Eron Jay Brainard; her great grandchildren, Davis Marie Temple, Austin Caldwell Temple, Caroline Caldwell Brainard, Jeffrey Jay Brainard, II, John Murray Brainard, and Samuel Russell Brainard; one sister, Mary Virginia Bolton Cronin and her husband, Russell Cronin; one brother, James Bernard Bolton and his wife Inez Bolton; a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; and her companion and close friend, Doretha Charles. The family would like to thank those that cared for Ruth, especially Dr. Mary Long and her staff at Ingram Medical Clinic, Synergy Home Health, and Hospice of Natchitoches. The family owes a deep debt of gratitude to Annie Augustus, Mary and Alcede Beaudoin, Latricia Courtney, Sheila Hampton, Latriana Jackson, Sandra Jackson, and Clementine Peek. Their care, concern, and affection for Mrs. Caldwell was deeply appreciated. Graveside services for Mrs. Ruth Caldwell will be held at Liberty Hill Cemetery, located on Hwy 508 near Bienville, LA at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 05, 2013 under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA . Interment will follow the services at Liberty Hill.
