Graveside services for Frances Beatrice Kay Dixon will be held at 4:00 pm on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Memory Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La. with Reverend Tommy Rush, Pastor of First Baptist Church - Natchitoches officiating.
Ms. Dixon, age 91, entered into peaceful rest on Wednesday, March 12, 2013 in Natchitoches. She was born in Provencal, La. on December 12, 1921. She worked for the Bell Telephone System for over 40 years and retired in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her son, I. V. "Buddy" Butler, Jr., her parents, Lottie Cobb Kay and Pinkney Grant Kay, her grandson, Shane Michael Hresan, by brothers James Kay, Johnny Kay, Raymond Kay, and Rufus Kay, and by sisters Exie Welch, Hattie Rhodes, Lettie Gandy, Lillie Winstead, Minnie Hanley, O'deal Pharris, and Sophronia Flores.
Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Angela Kay Butler Henley, grandson, Jeffrey Bryan Butler, both of Virginia, great granchildren, Rachel Thayer of North Carolina, Kelly Saba of Virginia, Haley and Hunter Salard of Natchitoches, three great great grandchildren, sister, Leetha Lee Kay Schlaf of Somers, Connecticut, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held immediately prior to and after the graveside service.
